Heres a question, how would i go about joining the guild as a scout? I've already worked up a backstory and such, just need to work out the techs with him. But still, how can i join as a scout? 8) You need to get with Nahum or Lyra to become a scout. You turn in a scroll and your go through a couple of tests.

On Saturday, at 20:00 GMT (yeah, I'm forcing you to figure out for yourself when that is in your own time zone ) I'll be running a special event for the Weave Masters. Members can ask me in game for details, but I won't make them public for all to know. Trust me, it's better that way.

Any way we can start it an hour or two earlier? It would give me more time to play... let's say 19:00 or 18:00 GMT?
If not, that's alright ;D

// I am curious...I see you have high ranking members, or one at least, that specializes in Necromancy. How is that allowable? Even if the person in question doesnt directly use raise dead spells, that person does specialize in immense pain and gruesome death of others.
Reason I ask, is my character is a necromany specialist, as well as plans to delve deep into the hidden strengths that only near narrow-mindedness can achieve (Adopting the Red Wizard way of scrutinizing magic, without being a Thayan). Were it that I was working hard for these powers to right a wrong done many years ago - is THIS acceptable?
Without sounding Cliche' I would probably equate my character to somewhat of an Araevin character - In that he is willing to be the one to seek the kind of power that is often looked down upon, to do what he believes is right.
Im just looking at guilds atm and trying to determine whether or not he fits in with any, just let me know if this one is even an option.

It warrants study just like any other type and isn't inherently wrong. However, the animating of the dead and summoning of undead is frowned upon because they believe it is an abuse of the weave. Mortals should be allowed to die and to rest in peace. (It also means that those seeking to become a lich would be cast out). The summoning of evil outsiders (primarily demons and devils) is forbidden because they believe that (1) they don't belong in the Prime Material Plane and only seek destruction and (2) the portals opened to their worlds can be kept open by others to send more demons/devils through it than originally intended. Hope that answers your questions. Let me know if you have others.

Answers half of the question, though the first half was answered to my satisfaction.
Will I be eligible to join with Red wizard levels, a character who studies a particular school as a means to an end, to right a wrong chapter of his life (ect, Im in the works of writing my bio now) but isnt an actual Thayan, no is he adherently evil. (not evil at all actually, hes Nuetral)

I guess I never really considered the RP concept that a "Red Wizard" could be a super-specialist wizard by study but not Thayan in politics or allegiance. Let me ask the senior members of the guild of their thoughts. william, cort, earthsong... your thoughts? You can just PM me or post publicly.

///I don't think there would be a problem with it. My understanding is that with the Red Wizard class one just focuses on one specific area of magic... they don't have any particularly "evil spells” available to them, do they? Aside from that, other players can’t really see what class your character is.. So just because you have levels as a Red Wizard, it doesn’t mean that you have to be one… you can just RP as a specialist mage! ;D Anyways, I also think that even if the character does had Red Wizard levels, and in fact does RP that they were at one time a Thayan aligned Red Wizard, it’s still alright, as long as they RP that they have turned away from that lifestyle. It would be interesting to have a former (and now non-evil) Red Wizard in the Weave Masters ranks… we could sort of have our own informant on the Thayans! Could lead to some interesting RP…

///I agree with William, the non-evil aspect is the most important. As long as you dont' share the politics and views of the Thayans I see no problem with it.
