Any PC interested in joining the The Shadow Cabal must send a PM to shadowcabal with a description of your character, and that characters "qualifications" for inclusion in the group (see below).
First, a complete description of your character to include final classes, race, feats, abilities, and skills. I know many are not willing to give this information out, but it is necessary to see just how you may fit.
Second, characters "qualifications" for inclusion in the group. What is his history, ambitions, motivation, temperament. What can he offer?
There are no class, race, or alignment restrictions.
All submissions and membership queries will be held in the utmost confidence!
This is a non-sanctioned guild at this time, and is subject to the server administrations approval.
The Shadow Cabal
History: The Shadow Cabal originally formed as a loose agreement amongst acquaintances and accomplices. It was born out of convenience, and perhaps just a tad of necessity as individual rogues, assassins, thieves, murderers, and racketeers continued to find their lives and livelihoods intertwined despite each individuals drive to have things on their own terms. As these individuals continued to trespass on each other’s turf, marks, and business ventures, aggression and fighting turned to tense cooperation as a fragile strength and bond was formed. As time went by this cooperation was forged into an organized crime consortium. The strength that was found in numbers was further by brought together by a consolidation of philosophy. At least as much cooperative effort which could be afforded by such a diverse, and self centered, group of individuals.
Purpose: The Purpose of the Shadow Cabal is to gain individual wealth and power through the concentrated and combined efforts of the whole. All and any means to that end are to be utilized by the group. Any group opposed to their goals stands to be either assimilated, controlled, or destroyed and replaced by those loyal to (or coerced into service by) the Shadow Cabal. The following is a brief list of means by which to attain the above mentioned goals:
Theft of personal items via pick pocketing
Theft of treasure
Theft of items by deception
Income by coercion
Income via racketeering
Income via protection fees
Income via bounty hunting
Income via assassination
Any other means not against the rules of the PW
Structure: The structure of the Shadow Cabal is chaotic at best. The leadership is in constant flux, and no one individual holds sway over the group for long. The leadership of the group is usually held by the individual who is best suited for their most recent endeavor, with leadership transferring depending on the next “project”. Any individual who aspires for permanent leadership must proclaim such intentions to the group. The establishment of permanent leadership must be agreed to by all active members with no dissent. If any one member dissents, the issue will be dropped, and the individual who declared their intent shall be at the mercy of the rest of the Shadow Cabal as to their continued individual status.
Code of Conduct: All Players shall be required to role play all hostile actions toward other Player Characters where appropriate. The only exception is pick pocketing. Any member who successfully pulls off a pick pocket is not required to actively engage the subject in RP, but may do so at a later time. All members caught in the act of a pickpocket must return the item if they are killed within 24 hours of the event.
All Players are bound to the rules of the Server. Period, end of discussion.
Colors Crest Uniform: There are no colors or uniform, a crest is under discussion.
Requirements for joining: There are no requirements for joining. Prospective members must either introduce themselves, or be introduced by an active member for consideration. Any prospective member shall be granted active status upon a 100% vote of confidence by current active members based on what they have to offer to the Group. Prospective members will not be privy to the rules of the guild until full acceptance. There is no set length of time a prospective member may have to wait to become active.
Character Requirements Members will be STRONGLY encouraged to have a single character, and may apply with the guild for an Alt.
The Shadow Cabal will require its members to have no more than one guild/group affiliation per player. This means no alts can be in any other guilds.
If a character wishes, they may attempt to infilitrate another guild for RP purposes.
Any Member found to be in violation will face Inactivation.
Requirements for remaining active All Active members must contribute to the whole through monetary, item, business, or service contributions. The amount of individual contribution shall be determined by the group, and is subject to change.
Inactive status: Any active member who is deemed to not be fulfilling their required contributions shall be brought to vote for inactive status. A call to vote for inactive status requires nothing more than a request by any active member. To inactivate a member, a 50% vote to inactivate carries the proposal.
Procedures for removal Once a vote to deactivate an active member has passed with 50% approval the following procedures shall be activated to conclude the process.
1) The member who called the vote will be required to take part in a character PvP Match with the member who was put to vote. The losing character (determined by death of the character during the match) shall be sent into exile from the guild and be labeled forever more as Kill on Sight.
Killed On Sight shall be define as the player character being harassed via PvP and Role Playing by all guild members to the furthest extent of the Servers Rules regarding PvP and player harassment. It is understood by all guild members that a Player Character who has been exiled shall forever be a target of harassment and PvP engagement and NOT grief killing.
2) This match will take place within 10 minutes of the vote, or the vote is dismissed.
3) Any active member involved in the vote may choose to take sides and become involved in the PvP Match. Any active member character taking part in the Match who dies as a result will have their character added to the exile/KOS list.
4) Any character still alive that the conclusion of the event shall retain active status.
5) Any player who either refuses to take part in the above actions, or otherwise defies the wishes of the greater group to be inactivated will subsequently lose all guild privileges and a request will be sent to the server administration to have their CD Key Banned.
