actualy, i passed my test today. i found him on. just forgot to go in here, and delete that post ... and i can be very unpatient Actually, you didn't pass. Sorry. Just to give an explanation on how does one fail a test: Once you guys approach me at the shrine, or are approached for your skills, I give you a task to look for Galad for some reasons that we expect that you accomplish: 1 - Your RP needs to be sharp. Doesn't need to be the best in the world (I would consider mine not that good enough either), but good enough to be in a heavy RP guild like the KOTEC / Rangers of Mielikki. 2 - The task itself is for RP purpose, so doesn't matter how many monsters you kill if you do not make the tracking/searching/etc rolls for it. 3 - If your character does not gain empathy with Daelthrien or Galad, expect to fail... 4 - Rangers of Silvanus, Solonar, Rillifane Ralathil ARE accepted if they do agree to become Rangers of Mielikki. (We have a patron and I plan to keep like that) 5 - Once the talk part is done, then you are tested in combat and the following skills: Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Spot and Survival. Heal and Search are welcome too, but not essencial. As for the essencial, fail one and fail the test. (Isn't it, MadComposer? ) Once Galad approves the candidates, they return to me and go through the tests once again... from my point of view, of course *Grins* After the tests are done, we decide if you should become a Pathfinder (First rank) if you succeed, an Apprentice if you fail but has chances to improve, or not accepted at all. I am sorry for the ones that failed so far, but I plan to keep a level of difficulty in joining... or else it would be no fun.

For whomever might interest... We are looking for more rangers. Here is something I found to help on RPing: Source: dnd4edition.com/faq/mielikki.htmMielikki (my-lee-kee or /maɪ'li.ki/) is the goddess of autumn, druids, dryads, forests, forest creatures, and rangers. Her symbol is a gold-horned, blue-eyed, unicorn's head facing left, and her domains are Animal, Good, Plant and Travel. Mielikki is Unaligned and Good.
Name: Mielikki Divine rank: intermediate deity Title(s): Our Lady of the Forest, Forest Queen Symbol: golden-horned, blue-eyed unicorn's head facing left Home plane: Alignment: Good Portfolio: forests, forest creatures, rangers, dryads, autumn Worshipers: Worshiper alignments: lawful Good, Good, Unaligned Cleric alignments: lawful Good, Good, Unaligned Domains: animal, good, plant, travel Favored weapon: "The Hornblade" (scimitar) Festivals:
Wild Ride (Greengrass, Midsummer, Shieldmeet) Four Feasts (19 Ches) Four Feasts (20 Kythorn) Four Feasts (21 Eleint) Four Feasts (20 Nightal) Mielikki (My-LEE-kee) is the Lady of the Forest, the goddess of the woods and those creatures who live within them. She is the patron of rangers in the same way that Oghma is the patron of bards. Until recently, Miellkki made her home on the Prime Material plane, and so was unharmed by the Time of Troubles, though the presence of so many other gods in the Realms gave her followers great difficulties. In the confusion following the Time of Troubles, she also gathered autumn into her portfolio, away from the dead Myrkul. She is worshiped by humans, elves, half-elves, and dryads alike. The Lady of the Forest is fond of wandering the woods of all of Faerun, although her faithful are concentrated in northern Faerun. Mielikki is allied with and in the service of Silvanus, and with the growing power of that god, she was being diminished in her own right. In 1369 DR, she radically reorganized her priesthood, and the boost in power this gave her has forestalled her decline, and allowed her to establish her own realm in the Outer Planes for the first time. Her followers had already added the title "Daughter to Silvanus" to her other names previous to this point as an honorarium, causing some confusion since she is not Silvanus's daughter. Inaccurate legends have since grown up to explain the title in which Mielikki is said to be the offspring of dalliance between Silvanus and Hanali Celanil, the elf goddess of romantic love and beauty. Mielikki serves Silvanus alongside Eldath. She considers Eldath to be almost her sister, and Silvanus a father figure. All three powers work closely and lovingly together, and this relationship is reflected in their churches and clergy also. Mielikki herself is assisted by three divine beings of lesser power: Lurue, Gwaeron Windstrom, and Shiallia. On rare occasions when Mielikki rides into battle, Lurue the Unicorn serves as her mount, and Gwaeron Windstrom, who can track infallibly through any conditions, in or on any terrain, aids her on some missions and teaches her rangers the way to read forest signs. Shiallia, a local nature deity of the High Forest, serves her as the midwife to pregnant forest creatures, the planter of seeds, and the nurturer of seedlings in that forest. In addition, Lady Jeryth Phaulkon of Waterdeep, the Chosen Star of Mielikki, serves as Mielikki's mortal champion. She has been gifted by Mielikki with unknown powers and is referred to in the faith as Our Lady's Champion or the Granddaughter of Silvanus. Though still fairly young, she has quickly matured from a frivolous debutante into a steadfast forest warrior. Mielikki is good-humored and quick to smile. She is confident in her actions and conveys this confidence well in small groups, though she dislikes speaking formally or leading large contingents. She is fiercely loyal and protective to those she calls friend, but does not grant that consideration lightly. Though she knows that some creatures must die to make way for others in life, she finds the injuries of animals and other friends hard to bear and often cures hurt creatures that Silvanus would leave be to fuel the cycle of death and rebirth. Other Manifestations When Mielikki manifests, it is most often as a glowing white unicorn who gallops through the air and can teleport freely from place to place in Faerun. This manifestation can cast spells by touch from its horn and speak mind-to-mind with any living being. At times, Mielikki also appears as a drifting radiance of blue-white or green, gold, and rust that speaks with her voice, can move objects that it envelops about from place to place, and can unleash magic as she does. To test their behavior, the Lady of the Forest often appears to rangers as a mortal woman lost and alone in the forest. The alert will notice that her feet never touch the ground, and therefore she leaves no trail. Mielikki also works through the actions of dryads, satyrs, hawks, songbirds, sprites, swanmays, treants, unicorns, wolves, and other woodland creatures.P.S: Always remembering, this is 4th edition stuff... There are things in there that are still going to happen

And just to make things clear:
We accept any followers of the deities allied to Mielikki (Read above).
You just keep in mind that once in the crew, you become a Ranger of Mielikki.

I am sorry if I am hijacking the thread, but I looked through the information on Mielikki and I see nothing about her being worshiped by Invokers or Favored Souls. Is Desiree's build impossible lorewise since she is a FS?

Greetings It appears this is the only druidy type group so far. While I would consider my RP to be pretty sharp, my druid, Eleanor, would not meet any search, survival, tracking rolls of which you speak. Seems I might have to find another alternative . Any suggestions?

Any suggestions? Hey! Actually, the druids initiation is up to Tarsakh, not me... and I don't know which methods he is using right now. The tests I meant apply only to rangers.

As for any other class right now.
Its more of a political testings. Its hard to do the NPC testing right now so in order to gain acceptance into the grove you need to gain the votes. Sense its hard to catch the all of the members on at the same time, my suggestion is to find one of the current members in game. Get one person to back your char. Once you have one person backing you then you and or that person can continue to contact the council via in game or IC letters (board PMs). Once you feel you have most if not all of the councils support then you can be brought to the council for discussion. Also during your time trying to contact the council members. I may also have you do some task to help out some of the current on goings of the grove.
All of this info will be updated soon on the second post of the main page.
